Task Three – Pre-production Planning

Contingency Plan Name: Emmanuel Odunaike Production: Clouds, Rain, fun!

Potential problems and how to overcome these problems: Some potential problems could be that someone may damage the equipment and it may be hard to replace quickly. The way of overcoming this may be to make sure that there is back up equipment on standby to ensure that it is impossible to run out of equipment. Another problem may be that all of the characters and props could be damaged if it is being moved. A way to overcome this would be to be completely careful with the props once they have been moved.

Explanation of location and key points to note: This will be produced in a classroom, where there is light and tables as it needs somewhere to be placed when being produced. Access to location via: There is permanent access to location as the location is open at all times of the day, apart from Sundays and Saturdays until 4pm. Health and Safety Issues to note: ●      I need to make sure that my equipment is not in the way and make sure that no harm can come other people around me.

Potential Filming Problems: ●      Some potential filming problems could be that the equipment may not work some time and I also have to make sure that all of the products used in the ident. Also, I have to make sure when moving each ident I have to do it by taking pictures and ensuring that I don’t miss each picture out and by doing it slow.

Additional Notes:  (map of area/weather forecast etc.) I need to make sure that I get all of my equipment in the same place at the same time and that it is ready to be used. I also need to make sure that when I’m editing I put the clips in the right order. I need to make sure that nothing goes wrong when taking the pictures and I need to make sure that no one gets in the way when I am taking the picture.

The concept of my television ident will be based on a cloud who’s left alone and then joined by his two friends and then they start being playful my wiggling from time to time which influence the main cloud to smile and then rains starts dropping and we see the Cbeebies coming from the side. The music in my ident will be contingent towards the theme of my ident and it will be childish to appeal to the age group that I am trying to appeal to. I will create all of the props myself. I will film this ident under the light in a safe building because the light would brighten up the screen so that it is easier to see what’s happening. When filming I will try my hardest to keep the shot the same and change it very slowly to make sure that nothing get moved or changed too much so when editing my final piece I would be able to do it easily without the need of having to start again.
